So many Tanzanians tend to carry all of the money they have, and have ever saved, on their person at all times. Mobile penetration is growing 15% per year.  Why not provide a financial services remote control that everyone can use?  Avoiding cash handling and even cards are real opportunities for Tanzania.

WHAT IS TAKASHI?

Takashi was created in 2000 by a team of mobile professionals to work out new strategies for smarter ways for operators to deal with customer interaction and loyalty, and to deliver core communications services, information and applications through mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs).

Over time, the focus and expertise of Takashi  has grown to encompass mobile financial services (MFS) strategy and projects, launching products in mature and developing countries, as well as business feasibility, public policy, navigating regulatory environments, and the IT, commercial, organisational and process challenges that need to be addressed to manage the launch and success of new  products like mobile banking, mobile payments, mobile remittances and mobile contactless products.

Takashi specialties include business architecture, team management and strategic consulting, product development, market feasibility, design and set up of virtual operators and service providers, business planning, projects in new technologies, inter-operator relations, products, financial services and market feasibility, public presentation of new concepts and consensus-building.

We have worked extensively in mobile telecommunications, new technologies and technology implementation, strategy, mobile banking/payments, NFC, DRM, usability and privacy issues, alliances, MVNOs (strategy, feasibility, planning, negotiations, architecture, marketing and implementation).
